Vice Assembly Model

  • CAD modeling in SolidWorks of a working vice assembly

  • Modeled nine interlocking components to build the full product​

  • Utilized dimensioning, mating, threading and other features with the platform

Bottling Station Assembly

  • SolidWorks model of a Bottling Station assembly

  • The video clip is a motion study showing all the components working together

  • Modeled displays working solution to transform constant rotational in one direction to step-wise rotational motion in a different plane

Three Part Shifter Fork Detailed Drawing

  • SolidWorks Part design for 3D component

  • Created a Detailed Drawing for a three part shifter

  • Tolerances were adjusted / calibrated to work within a larger assembly

  • Design includes datum features, geometric tolerances, and manufacturing notes including surface finish

Electric Seated Scooter Design

  • Designed a seated electric scooter with the capabilities to travel 26.36 mph and accelerate from 0-20 mph in 17 seconds

  • I ran a FEA on the overall frame, the bolts, and the weldments in areas of high stress 

    • This FEA was analyzed with a general load case of a 200 pound person on the seat​

  • I ran a FEA on the scooter with a load case where the scooter hits a wall with the maximum frontal impact

Rocket Thrust Vector Control

  • Designing a thrust vector control system from the ground up that can dynamically stabilize a flight capable engine

  • This system will likely use actuators mounted to directly to the engine. 

  • Towards the end of the year, we will test our system on a ground-based engine to show how our system will gimbal to all the necessary directions and speeds.

  • This project entails working alongside the Cal Poly Space Systems Club.
